Intellectual Property & Artwork Upload Policy

1. Ownership of Artwork

By uploading any artwork, logos, images, text, graphics, or other content (“Artwork”) to CheapFlags.net, you confirm and represent that:

You either own the rights to the Artwork or have obtained all necessary permissions, licenses, and consents to use and reproduce it.

The Artwork does not infringe upon, misappropriate, or violate any copyright, trademark, trade secret, publicity, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.

2. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All custom flag designs produced by CheapFlags.net remain the intellectual property of the customer with respect to their uploaded Artwork.

CheapFlags.net retains ownership of its own designs, product templates, website content, branding, and any derivative works created using CheapFlags.net intellectual property.

By uploading Artwork, you grant CheapFlags.net a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and modify your Artwork solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order and related marketing or display of completed products (e.g., in customer galleries or examples) unless you opt out in writing.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not upload Artwork that:

Violates or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

Contains offensive, obscene, hateful, defamatory, discriminatory, or illegal content.

Promotes violence, harassment, self-harm, or unlawful activities.

Includes third-party logos, trademarks, or copyrighted works without authorization.

CheapFlags.net reserves the absolute right to decline, reject, or cancel any order at its discretion if the uploaded Artwork violates this policy or is otherwise deemed inappropriate. If an order is rejected, you will be notified and provided with options to submit alternative Artwork or request a refund.

4. Customer Responsibility & Indemnification

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your Artwork complies with all applicable intellectual property laws. By uploading Artwork, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CheapFlags.net, its affiliates, employees, and suppliers from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from or related to your uploaded Artwork.

5. Review & Approval Process

All uploaded Artwork is subject to internal review for compliance with this policy and technical requirements (resolution, file format, etc.).

CheapFlags.net may request modifications to your Artwork to meet production standards.

No production will begin until Artwork is approved by CheapFlags.net.

6. Limitation of Liability

CheapFlags.net is not responsible for errors, omissions, or defects in customer-submitted Artwork. Customers must ensure files meet all guidelines. Once Artwork is approved, production files are final and cannot be changed without creating a new order.

7. Updates to This Policy

CheapFlags.net reserves the right to update or revise this policy at any time. Updates will be effective immediately upon posting.
